You control the clam using the arrow keys or your controller; you collect coins by eating them. There are some urchins that follow you around. The urchins are pirates in the game, and as you can imagine, staying away from them is a good idea. However, the little clam can shoot pearls, or whatever that is, and temporarily eliminate the pirates. Like in Pac-Man, they do come back, and they will chase you down if they enter the path you dig when collecting coins. There are also powerups to use, and these enable you to dig faster, you can freeze the enemies, and you even get a teleportation buff.
