is a clone of the classic Minesweeper game that lets you compare your score with the scores of other players over the Internet.

Global Mines includes all features of the MS Minesweeper game that comes with Windows, and more. The most important feature is the Global Hall of Fame that lets you compete with other players around the world.

The biggest problem with the MS Minesweeper game is that you cannot compare your score with the scores of your friends. No one believes it when you get a good score (since the *.ini file that contains the highscore is easy to edit). But not in Global Mines! When you get a highscore, you see a special code which represents the game you've just played. You can enter this code on the author's Web page along with your name to be included in the Global Hall of Fame.

Other features include 3 levels of difficulty, the ability to create a custom level, and highscores.
