Virtual U v1.0 Description:
is a game that simulates running a university or college.
Virtual U is a fun computer simulation tool for university administrators and other interested users who want to simulate and practice managing a university. You'll act as president of the institution and struggle to manage the institution's affairs. Walk around the campus, visits various buildings such as the Admissions Office, the Athletic Department, and the Student Union, obtain information in each building, and then make decisions about who gets admitted, who gets financial aid, how the endowment is spent, how large classes are, how much tuition increases, and much more.
Virtual U motivates and guides you through the most common scenarios and problems that college and university administrators face. Virtual U takes place in real time where you can hire and fire faculty, change teaching loads, allocate funds to departments, and more. When the school year is over your evaluation for the year arrives in a letter from the Board of Trustees. Virtual U allows you to access financial and operational reports at any time and make the adjustments necessary to keep your institution afloat (and avoid bankruptcy). You can even develop your own open-ended simulations that mimic the institution you currently attend or help manage. Use of extensive models in building Virtual U, combined with real data gleaned from thousands of colleges and universities, makes Virtual U more than realistic. It's real.
