allows you to play a game of chess with another opponent via e-mail.All you need is a valid e-mail profile and a connection to the Internet and you're on your way. A fully validated chessboard ensures that the moves you make are not illegal. Interchess allows draws, surrender, En Passant, stalemate, offered draws and those conditions that would force a draw. You can setup the board to any configuration you wish, prior to playing a game. Interchess automatically sends and receives chess move e-mails - all you need to do is play your move. You can also choose to just play against the computer if you wish.
Customizable chess sets allow you to choose from those supplied or make your own. You can also customize the look of the user interface with easily created and applied 'skins'. Play against the computer and customize the methods the computer uses to play. The user interface is accessed through an inconspicuous system tray icon. The chessboard operation is an easy drag-and-drop interface-- simply pick up a piece and put it down where you want to move. You can also record your games with printouts. Print the entire game graphically, or just one board state, or print the entire game in algebraic notation.
New to this version is the ability to draw a game through either mutual consent or have a draw imposed as a result of the current state of the board. Also, stalemate is catered for, along with forced draw, if there are not enough pieces to win.
