Sam is a comic book that is created to show how much more this type of medium can say and make you feel when you are given the chance to interact with it. It’s a story about dying and death that is narrated without the need of a voice. The story in Sam is about three main characters, Ruby and her father Randall who are both very sick and dying, and Sam, an alien who is on the run. From the first moments of the gameplay, you understand that you are dealing with a world that’s in decay, and later on find out that it’s Earth. You also learn about a dangerous fog that’s slowly making humankind extinct. Laurent Hrybyk, the artist who envisioned and brought Sam to life, designed the game in a way that it triggers a lot of questions and makes you curious about their answers. How did the fog come to appear, why is the Earth dying, why is Sam a robot and what’s the deal with that bigger robot that tries to kill everyone?
