Featuring a nostalgic top-down perspective, the levels are designed in such a way to resemble a maze and they become more and more complicated as you get further. In addition, although they start of mostly devoid of any enemies, the stages quickly swarm with aliens and various defense mechanisms, such as wall-mounted cannons that can quickly annihilate your ship, if you don't take them out first.
