War Wound aims to emulate the gameplay seen in much bigger titles, only it somehow manages to forget the most important ingredients. As such, the emphasis is put on shooting all the enemies and clearing the maps, which is clearly not the point of the genre. There is no stealth to talk about, your units are basically indigo copies of each other, and the AI is atrocious to say the least. Each mission has a certain objective, but although it varies on paper, you always have to kill everything that moves in order to move on. As such, whether your orders are to occupy a certain position or infiltrate a facility, you still end up having to hunt every enemy soldier on the map. While this wouldn’t be too much of a problem in some circumstances, the AI makes the experience unbearable from start to finish.
