However, there were different games out there as well. Faxanadu 2 is an indie production that is actually a remake of an old platformer first released on the Famicom and NES consoles back in the day. Right off the bat, you shouldn't expect too much complexity or content, because this is merely a demonstration and it barely contains any action at all, except for some short levels. However, you do get to admire the same visual style and make use of the same mechanics. The original game did not give too many details regarding the story and the main character either, but the one at hand doesn’t even mention it at all. Hence, you are stuck playing with an unknown man while you explore a weird world filled with ruins. Monsters and enemies should make progress more difficult, but they haven’t been implemented yet, so you are pretty much safe.
