Delta Force Description:
First person-shooters have come a long way in the last few years, but they had to start somewhere as well. Thus, while titles like Doom and Quake innovated the genre in a manner of different ways, games started to take different roads after a while, focusing on different approaches when it came to gameplay and the mechanics themselves. Delta Force is one of these examples, since it tried to replace the reckless all-guns-out style of the aforementioned titles with a more tactical approach, emphasizing on a bit of stealth and real-world missions involving military operations around the world. Hence, although it does not feature any hellish spawn and you don't get to wield double rocket launchers, the gameplay is just as intense and addictive. One other innovation that came with the game was the fact that you were no longer required to follow linear paths from one end of the level to the other. Alternatively, the map was huge and you had complete freedom over how to navigate it, in order to decide the best route by yourself and try to take the enemies by surprise for a change.
