The atmosphere is all that matters, which includes the location, soundtrack, story and visual quality. As long as these elements work together, there’s not even a need for hellish environments or decapitations. PuniTy is not actually an original game, but more of a remake. In fact, it is an exact recreation of the playable teaser presented by Konami at E3 a few years back for their Silent Hill campaign. Although the said game never came to fruition since then, the hallway sequence got to be very popular with the audience, and it is still one of the scariest experiences on the PlayStation. Now, you have the chance to play it for yourself, even if you do not own a PlayStation. The game at hand is developed in Unity, but you wouldn’t be able to tell from the looks of it. In fact, it looks and feels like something much more modern, which is why the atmosphere is almost the same as well. You only get to waltz from one end of the hallway to the other, but things get creepy after the first few steps.
