Gray is more interesting than plain black and white, which is why complex characters leave a lasting impression on us. Hell Little Story is a 2D platformer in which you play the role of a demon who happens to be in a bit of a pickle. The gameplay mechanics are very simple and disappointing, unfortunately, given the fact that all you have to do is jump around and collect coins. In addition, there are plenty of bugs and badly coded features to mess with your good mood as well. Probably the most disappointing thing about the game is the fact that the enemies damage you if you happen to touch them, but there’s no way to tell when you make contact. There’s also no visual cue to let you know when you are receiving damage, which is even more annoying. Some of these issues can be ignored, on the other hand, at least if you are persistent enough.
