Gameplay is influenced by your actions; there is no set path. Each time you play the game you will have a new experience. The choices you make influence the game's flow, and the way you reach your destinations.
The AI are reactive, and think about more than just killing. For example, if they take too much damage, they'll duck out and find a way to heal themselves, or if you make too much noise and the hordes will descend upon you.
SiN uses an enhanced version of id Software's Quake II engine.
