At first glance Seed may look like a 3D shooter. However, once you pick up the controls, you will realize that it is something completely different. Seed combines the first-person viewpoint of a 3D shooter and the elements of a traditional platform game, to end up with a first-person platform game. It includes customary platform game type controls, huge jumps, swinging ropes and bridges above a huge abyss, and combo moves for attack and defense.
The game engine generates real-time shadows, based on the environment, so your whole body is visible as it casts a life-like shadow. In addition, all your enemies’ shadows are visible and generated real-time as well. So imagine an enemy who tries to hide behind you. If the lighting conditions are such, his shadow is projected forward, and hence his location is given away. As well, a tiny enemy may indeed have a huge shadow.
Seed features real physics (including currents, winds and gravity), real shadows for all objects, chargeable weapons that can be "tuned up" for better performance, a 3D map that shows you the world, moving platforms, indoor and outdoor levels, numerous secret areas, humor combined with morbid gameplay elements, and more.
