It’s a game for those who enjoy this type of shooter but don’t want to struggle with it. The setting for Envoy is that which you’ve certainly come across tens of times, it’s been around for a while now. Moreover, it doesn’t seem to improve on anything, really. You have a ship, it can fire, you collect rockets and credits and keep shooting bad guys until you reach the big boss. Playing Envoy, you don’t feel sucked into the action, it’s more along the lines of you have the chore of shooting stuff that comes in your direction. There’s nothing engaging about it in any way. The only reason you keep going is because you have to, the ship won’t stop.
