WarPath is a first-person shooter that borrows many of its components from a wide variety of other sources and brings them together in a slightly different setting, with a not-at-all original back story to complete the experience. Hence, the title is basically a combination of Unreal Tournament and Quake, with a similar plot involving alien planets and three different races that fight each other for dominance. Naturally, you get to play as any of these three races and use a variety of weapons to kill those who stand in the way of your goal. While the game was clearly designed as a multiplayer shooter, it also includes a singleplayer experience, which basically acts as a tutorial and practice ground for you to learn the mechanics and get familiar with the gameplay before facing off against human opponents.
