Using a plasma gun with infinite ammunition, you must kill green aliens and destroy turrets as you wander through the levels, looking for doors and keys to unlock them. In fact, finding the keys appears to be your main purpose, because everything else is just there to make your progress as difficult as possible, including the enemies and the tricky platforms you have to navigate.
