Codename Eagle did not really manage to impress anyone at the time of its release, mainly because it tried a subtle approach to the FPS genre, by employing some very shaky stealth mechanics. Naturally, the entire thing felt unpolished and unfinished, which meant that neither the stealth gimmicks, nor the classic FPS mechanics worked like they should have. The multiplayer mode somehow managed to rise above the singleplayer component, probably because stealth is neither indicated, nor possible during deathmatch, so only the shooter part was required to make the experience worthwhile. Hence, with only Capture the Flag, Team Deathmatch and the classic Deathmatch, the multiplayer is about as regular as it gets in the genre.
