Throne of Darkness is an action-oriented RPG in which you get to control a party of such samurais through feudal Japan and make use of their abilities in order to find and defeat a powerful warlord who takes his power from a demon. Hence, by employing the skills of up to four different warriors, you must survive the journey to the warlord’s lair and gather as many magical items as you can on the way there. The story revolves around one of the leaders of a clan, who decides he wants everything for himself one day, despite the fact that he lacks the army to take it. However, he makes a pact with a demon and he transforms into a powerful being himself, only to use his abilities in order to kill all the other leaders and subjugate the entire country. One of these leaders escapes, though, and he decides to gather a group of mighty warriors to go after the demon and reclaim their stolen territories.
