Hence, although it does not feature any hellish spawn and you don't get to wield double rocket launchers, the gameplay is just as intense and addictive. One other innovation that came with the game was the fact that you were no longer required to follow linear paths from one end of the level to the other. Alternatively, the map was huge and you had complete freedom over how to navigate it, in order to decide the best route by yourself and try to take the enemies by surprise for a change.
