The game takes you in the events between Episode III and IV where you will have to witness the growth of the Rebel Alliance and the creation of the Death Star. Three game modes are presented, standard Campaign, Galactic Conquest and Skirmish, and in all of them you can wage war on the ground and in space. In Galactic Conquest mode, you are put in command of either the Empire or the Rebel Alliance, and have to complete one of three main goals to win a scenario. You have to kill the enemy leader, or protect or destroy the Death Star or completely crush the enemy force.
