Not only are the graphics basic, borderline pixel art, the design of the levels is also fairly simple. However, this little game has a few tricks up its sleeve and most of them make the game interesting and challenging. In Trapnoid 2 you are a low-resolution wizard who has to retrieve a magical crystal. The unique stone possesses all the powers of good but some evil creatures have stolen it. It’s up to you and your magic wand to recover it and save the day. There is little room for more plot than that considering how small the game is, but it’s enough. Most of the accent falls on the controls of the character and how tricky they are to master. It’s what makes Trapnoid 2 the tough tiny game that it is.
