Not only that, but he or she also does everything alone, because there’s always a chosen one with the exact opposite power of the villain to fight for the good guys. CORDILLERA is a 2D platformer that features a lot of jumping and a lot of running, plus the mandatory succession of deep pits that somehow still allow for entire villages to exist in between. In short, the game feels and plays like a classic platformer, except that the main character must take full advantage of the double jump feature in order to survive the stages and make it to the end. Speaking of which, the story is a classic as well, given the fact that it features a great evil that’s about to destroy the main character’s world. Hence, your name is Aethel, and you happen to be blessed with the unique power of jumping much higher than the rest of your people. As it happens, this is exactly what’s needed to lead the fight against the evil that’s on its way.
