Warlords Battlecry lets you create a hero in one of nine races and then take him and his armies through campaigns, quests, and multiplayer games. As you complete campaigns, your hero gains experience he will be able to choose a specialty class that will strengthen his attributes.
In addition to hero-based gameplay, Warlords Battlecry has all the elements of a great strategy game. The real-time game environment has dynamic spell effects and character animations. Besides campaigns, quests allow you to collect magical items and gain allies while the "command radius" allows you to extend bonuses to surrounding units. There are 9 unique races and 16 unique classes including warrior, priest, rogue, wizard, minotaur, undead, and barbarian. An improved magic system provides for over 83 spells and highly detailed 3D effects like particle effects and real-time lighting allow for day and night cycles and accurate weather modeling.
