Horde: Northen Wind Description:
In Horde, you begin with a hero and a few warriors starting a settlement. In the course of the game, you develop your city economically and build an army to protect your citizens from aggressive neighbors. In the beginning, your army is small as you try to keep the fragile peace with other nations. Eventually, you'll become strong enough to attack and conquer those who once were a menace to your land.
The game is divided between diplomacy and huge battles. You can choose to live in peace with the neighboring nations, declare war on any of them, or form an alliance with one of them to defeat another. Huge battles, in which over 400 units can take part, along with move-based and real-time modes, make for incredible, epic conflicts.
Horde features strong economic and military elements. In similar games, your only income is the gold the workers mine, the wood they cut, and so on. Horde's economic system is based primarily on tax collected from the inhabitants of your settlement. It is also distinct in that gameplay is not divided into a set of scenarios, each of which you would have to start from scratch. With continuous gameplay, Horde is only over when all enemies are either destroyed or submitted to your forces. You can play single player, multiplayer over E-mail, and a hotseat mode.
