Subterrain is an indie game that doesn’t necessarily put a very original idea in front of you but packaging and delivery are very well thought out. Not only does it look very good, it also provides fluid animations, solid and well polished gameplay as well as a fair simulation of what it takes to survive. After fighting plenty of zombies, mutants, or whatever they are, you won’t just need to patch yourself up with a bandage or enjoy the healing from a medkit. Health can be affected by thirst, starvation, cold, lack of oxygen so throughout the game you will constantly have to monitor your stats to make sure you’re not walking around bleeding to death or falling to the ground from lack of nutrition.
